Ficus greenisland Multi-Trunk

The Green Island Ficus (Ficus microcarpa 'Green Island') is a popular, low-maintenance evergreen shrub or small tree known for its glossy, round, deep-green leaves, making it excellent for low hedges, borders, or container plants, and it thrives in full sun to partial shade, tolerates salt, and is ideal for bonsai. It's a versatile, hardy plant that's easy to shape, offers good air purification, and is a favorite in tropical and formal landscapes alike, noted for being a slower grower and less messy than other ficus varieties. 

Interesting: Ficus microcarpa is pollinated by wasps. This tree requires a warm climate and a humid atmosphere to thrive making it perfect for the Indian tropical climate. This creation features multiple trunks fused together over time to create a dramatic and majestic trunk and root structure for the bonsai. 

PLANT CARE:

Ficus microcarpa Bonsai are small bonsai that are easy to grow. They do not require any elaborate or complicated procedure for growth.

Light: A lot of indirect light is best. 

Water: Ficus microcarpa Bonsai requires moderate watering. The best way to know if it is the time to water your bonsai is by placing a finger in the soil and seeing if it is still moist. If it feels moist, the plant does not have to be watered yet. The watering requirements depend on the atmosphere. In tropical climates it ranges from once every day to once in a couple days.
